Regular Season Award Winners for 2025 Season Announced
On Wednesday, the Old North State League announced the regular season awards winner for the 2025 season.
Coach of the Year - Andy Fox (Sandhills Bogeys)
Fox led the Bogeys to a 27-10 overall record and a 20-10 record within the coastal division. The Bogeys charged back up the standings after a slow start, winning nine of their last ten games to win the regular-season coastal division title. The Bogeys have now won the coastal division four years in a row.
Most Valuable Player - Oliver Zohn (Edenton Steamers/Lander University)
Zohn led the Steamers to a second-place finish in a tightly contested Tidewater division. In 32 games played and 131 total plate appearances, the outfielder batted .505. He also had an on-base plus slugging percentage of 1.438. Zohn had seven home runs on the season, driving in a total of 37 runs. The left-handed batter hailing from Division II Lander only struck out eight times while also stealing 16 bases during the season.
Pitcher of the Year - Ty Brachbill (Lexington Flying Pigs/High Point)
Brachbill earned a win in every outing during the season, finishing 6-0 as he guided the Flying Pigs to a Piedmont division regular-season title. In 34 innings pitched, the right-handed pitcher who committed to High Point over the summer allowed only 19 hits and four earned runs for a .824 ERA. The right-handed pitcher had a .794 WHI, and batters averaged .158 against Brachbill. In a game against the Danville Dairy Daddies in early June, Brachbill threw 8 shutout innings, punching out 21 batters. He ended the season with 63.

Defensive Player of the Year - Johann Rodriguez (Hendersonville Honeycrisps/Charleston Southern)
Rodriguez was a crucial piece to the Honeycrisps' Mountain Division regular-season championship. A .992 fielding percentage behind the plate led the charge throughout the season. The catcher only had one error in 127 innings played, was involved in one double plplaynd 12 putouts. He had eight assists and caught five runners stealing.
