New Addition to an Outer Banks Summer

A Baseball Team is Coming to the Outer Banks

OUTER BANKS, NC – The Old North State League announced earlier this month a new team based out of Outer Banks joining their Tidewater division. 

There’s a new team in town. Starting in the summer of 2025, The Old North State League is welcoming a new team to their Tidewater division. The team will be joining the other five teams in the Tidewater division – Clayton Clovers, Tarboro River Bandits, River City Skippers, New Bern Southpaws, and Edenton Steamers. 

The league is still looking for a name for the new addition. There is a “Name the Team” contest being held on the team’s social media pages. The Outer Banks community and social media users will have the chance to vote for their favorite name. The winner of the contest will receive 2 free season tickets for the upcoming inaugural season. 

The Players League is excited to expand the Old North State League to the Outer Banks. “What I’ve seen [is] summer college baseball grow across the state,” said Alec Allred, President and CEO of The Players League. “I think it’s a great thing. I tell people there’s no such thing as too much baseball.”

The team will be hosting its games during the months of June and July at First Flight High School. The team’s new coaching staff is currently actively recruiting players to add to the team. The league asks if you are interested in hosting one of these players to fill out their form on their website. As for the General Manager of the team, there will be an announcement coming soon.
