(Ramseur, NC) The Old North State Baseball League (ONSL) announced that David Schmoll, a 13-year sports industry veteran, has acquired an Interest in the Marion Swamp Foxes based at the Big League Camp located on Lake James in Marion, North Carolina.

"The Old North State League is very excited to welcome David Schmoll as member of the Ownership group that operates the Marion Swamp Foxes," Old North State League Commissioner Eric Sibrizzi said. "David brings a wealth of information in sponsorship and ticket sales and we are excited to see his contribution to the community partnerships and quality of fan experience at the unique Big League Camp venue.”

David Schmoll is currently the General Manager of the O’Fallon Hoots, member of the Prospect League, and CarShield Field, a 3,000 seat baseball stadium in O'Fallon, Missouri. Schmoll began his career in 2011 as a broadcaster for the Mississippi RiverKings of the Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL) before being named Director of Business Operations in 2013 and then General Manager of the team in 2016. He moved to O'Fallon as the VP of Ticket Sales of the Frontier League's River City Rascals in 2017, became General Manager in 2018 and then joined the O'Fallon Hoots in 2019 and has held the position of General Manager since then. He will remain in his current position while advising the Swamp Foxes as a part of the ownership group.

"I am incredibly excited to join the Swamp Fox family," said Schmoll. "Marion is a great market for summer collegiate baseball and I cannot wait to work with the staff there to engage with the community to develop a team that they can call their own."

Kyle Confer, Ballred Sports, LLC, COO added, "Ballred LLC is very excited to partner with David Schmoll going forward in Marion. In our preliminary discussions, David shared his vision for the Swamp Foxes and for the Big League Camp. We are extremely confident that David will establish the Swamp Foxes as a highly successful franchise in the Old North State League!”

The ONSL season runs from May to July. The Old North State League consists of fifteen collegiate baseball teams in locations from the Appalachian Mountains to the Atlantic Coast.
