6/9 - 6/15 ONSL Weekly Player Awards
On Monday, the Old North State League announced the player and pitcher of the week awards for the week of June 9th - June 15th.
For the second week this season, two Lexington Flying Pigs earned the honors as the team sits at the top of the Piedmont division.

Byson Arthur - Player Of The Week
The junior led the Flying Pigs' offensive effort in a 4-3 week that saw them rise to the top of the standings. The infielder posted a slash line of .571 / .609 / .714 as he went 12-21 at the plate during the week. Arthur drove in eight Flying Pigs off of twelve hits, and he also managed to steal three bases. In a June 11th game versus the Raleigh Red Oaks, Arthur, who is currently in the transfer portal, went 4-4 at the plate with 3 RBIs. Arthur played his first games of the season this week, providing an instant jumpstart to the offense.

Ty Brachbill - Pitcher Of The Week
Brachbill was nothing short of lights out in his one appearance. The right-hander from Shelbyville, Illinois, threw an 8-inning shutout, punching out 21 batters. The junior only allowed three hits during his outing, giving up zero walks as only one baserunner made it past second. The Flying Pig threw 101 pitches, with 79 of those being strikes. He led the Flying Pigs to a 9-0 win over divisional opponent, Danville Dairy Daddies. Brachbill has impressed beyond this week and has yet to give up a run in 16 innings pitched, as he leads the Old North State League in strikeouts with 35. He has held opposing batters to a .113 batting average and has a .625 WHIP on the season. Brachbill is currently in the transfer portal searching for a school for next year.
